Job summary

Responsibilities include lifting up to 70 pounds, following biosecurity and safety guidelines, complying with background checks and drug screening, and obtaining a driver’s license within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 months of experience in livestock or farm work.
• Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Must speak English.
• Background check and drug screening may be required.

Responsibilities

• Clean stalls, pens and equipment using disinfectants and brushes.
• Herd livestock to winter enclosures, hay feeding areas, scales and trucks.
• Examine animals to detect illness or injury and check physical condition.
• Provide basic medical treatment or arrange for veterinarian care as needed.
