Job summary

Curated Events See Hear Productions seeks a seasoned Video Engineer to ensure peak visual experiences for audiences and performers at live events. You will direct video system installation, calibration, operation, and strike across venues, working with a team of technicians and coordinating with clients and engineers.

The role requires 5+ years of live-video experience, familiarity with Barco/Blackmagic/Novastar/Brompton gear, and strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or certification in Video Engineering is preferred, but relevant experience is valued.
5+ years as a live video engineer in concerts, festivals, corporate events, or theaters.
Experience calling events, cueing technicians, switching inputs, and directing camera positions.
Expertise with switchers, LED processors, scan converters, and scalars.
Strong networking, routing, and video standards knowledge.
Experience with camera and remote PTZ systems.
Ability to stay calm and troubleshoot under pressure during live events.

Responsibilities

Direct the construction, calibration, operation, and strike of video systems for events.
Lead and mentor teams of video technicians and support personnel.
Specify video systems and components for shows, venues, and artists.
Communicate effectively with clients, artists, and engineers to solve issues.
Set up and operate video systems for performances.
Develop routing schemes for shows using appropriate software.
Troubleshoot and maintain video equipment to ensure uptime.
Travel as required to support events.
