Job summary

Worcestershire County Cricket Club is seeking a reliable Venue Operations Porter to support catering, hospitality, conferencing and event operations at New Road, Worcester. The role covers room set-ups, movement of furniture and equipment, and assisting with matchday and event delivery.

It requires flexibility for early starts, evenings, weekends and holidays, and a strong team ethic. The successful candidate will work closely with the catering and operations teams to ensure spaces are clean,

Qualifications

• Previous experience in catering, events, hospitality or porter roles.
• Ability to perform physical work including lifting and moving furniture.
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set up rooms and event spaces according to function briefs and instructions.
• Move tables, chairs, linen and catering stations to required layouts.
• Ensure venues are clean, presentable and safe before guests arrive.
• Support with room turnarounds, event prep and break-downs on matchdays and events.
• Assist with deliveries, stock movement and equipment transport around the site.
• Work with catering, events and operations to keep events running smoothly.
