Job summary

Harkins Theatres is seeking a bartender to elevate guest experiences by describing menu items, preparing drinks, and handling orders with accuracy and courtesy, while maintaining an organized bar and cash drawer.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking and delivering orders, upselling, monitoring for intoxication, and working in a fast-paced environment. Must have a food handler card and Responsible Service Training, be 19+, and available nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years old.
• Must obtain and maintain a current food handler’s card and/or food safety certification, and complete Responsible Service Training, (AZ Title 4 Liquor – Basic).
• 1+ year bartending experience preferred.
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to speak, read, write, and understand English and perform basic math; operate a POS system.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and establish a personal connection.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and serve drinks per recipes and standards.
• Maintain accurate cash drawer and follow money handling guidelines.
• Upsell menu items and upsell recommendations.
• Monitor guests for signs of intoxication and report to management.
• Perform bar setup, garnishes, stocking, cleaning, and closing duties.
