The E.W. Scripps Company’s Scripps Sports unit seeks a knowledgeable Game Analyst/Color Commentator for a full-time temporary role.

You will provide expert commentary on sports events in studio and on live broadcasts, partnering with play-by-play talent to explain plays and strategies to TV, radio and online audiences. You’ll deliver in-depth analysis, review advanced stats, prepare pre-game and post-game segments, and engage viewers across social channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Five+ years in sports broadcasting or color commentary preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-depth analysis and commentary on sporting events, games, tournaments, and championships.
• Serve as the color commentator during live broadcasts alongside play‑by‑play Talent.
• Narrate key plays and strategies during live broadcasts.
• Break down player performance, team strategies, and game dynamics for viewers.
• Prepare pre‑game, in‑game, halftime and post‑game analysis.
