Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking a graphics designer/engineer to craft concept design, animation, and live graphics using Unreal Engine and Zero Density for our broadcast properties in a fast-paced environment in Miami. You will collaborate with news teams, update on-screen graphics, and explore new tech to enhance our live and digital platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong design background with ability to adapt quickly to breaking news events.
• Design or Animation Degree, or Diploma in Computer Sciences or equivalent studies.
• Operational expertise of Zero Density or equivalent Realtime Graphics platforms. Willingness to learn Flowics and other workflows.
• Minimum 2+ years of professional experience using Unreal Engine or equivalent Realtime Graphics design program.
• Proficiency using industry software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects; Cinema 4D or Blender is a plus.
• Detail oriented, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Good time management skills with the ability to organize, prioritize, and complete tasks on time.
• Flexible with work schedule; nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide concept design, animation, implementation, and support of Unreal Engine and Zero Density projects.
• Build strong professional relationships with shareholders across properties.
• Maintain and update existing on-screen graphics packages.
• Stay passionate about current news and entertainment stories.
• Be a team player, flexible, and goal oriented under tight deadlines.
• Keep up with developing technologies and integrate them into live broadcasts.
• Demonstrate understanding of television production and live production workflows.
• Support all linear and digital platforms as needed.
