Job summary

Muse Paintbar in Marlborough, MA is hiring a part-time Art Instructor to lead painting sessions, host the party, and ensure guests enjoy food, drinks, and a great experience.

You’ll guide novices through steps, prep canvases, manage the room, and help capture photos for social media while keeping the clock on track.

Requirements include painting experience, comfort with a microphone, strong communication, flexible evenings and weekends, and a 21+ age; ServSafe/TIPS training available if needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on painting experience; acrylics preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in related art field preferred.
• Experience teaching or leading a group.
• Prior experience in a customer-facing role.
• Strong communication, punctuality, and service instinct.
• Comfortable with mic, printers, sound systems.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel up to 20% weekly.
• Flexible evenings and weekends available.
• Must be 21 or older.
• TIPS and ServSafe certification (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Lead the session start to finish, keeping guests engaged and on schedule.
• Prepare Muse signature paintings and hang master above stage.
• Break paintings into step-by-step instructions for first-timers.
• Greet guests, seat them, hand out aprons, and take drink/food orders.
• Capture photos during sessions for social media.
• Break down and clean up to reset studio for the next session.
