Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. is seeking a Production Director to coordinate all technical operators during live and recorded productions for KOLR/Ozarks FOX/KOZL. The role requires leadership, fast decision-making, and proficiency with Ross Vision and Xpression, OBS, and VMIX.

The ideal candidate has strong English communication, a high school diploma, and at least two years in news operations or online streaming. Early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Fluency in English and strong written/spoken communication.
• Minimum two years’ experience in news ops and/or online streaming.
• Proficiency with broadcast, streaming and production equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Directs and TDs live, local newscasts and lifestyle shows.
• Directs live and recorded digital content using OBS and VMIX.
• Coordinate efforts of all technical operators during productions.
• Supervise and assign duties to workers in control and production.
• Observe camera shots and run camera/video and CG.
• Collaborate with news, digital, lifestyle and production teams.
• Deliver clean, high energy content with producers.
• Switch video sources and issue directions during live broadcasts.
• Test equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
