Reach Media in Washington, DC seeks a technically sharp Multi Skilled Operator (MSO) to support live news production by coordinating crew and talent and ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced newsroom.

The MSO will manage studio setups, lighting, cameras and monitors, provide timing cues, and maintain clear communication between studio and control room during live broadcasts, thriving under pressure in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating live news broadcasts.
• Ability to prep presenters and guests for live events.
• Strong situational awareness in a 24/7 newsroom.
• Excellent communication between studio and control room.
• Willingness to work a rotating 5-day schedule.

Responsibilities

• Oversee studio floor operations and crew coordination.
• Prepare presenters and guests for live broadcasts.
• Manage studio setups, lighting, props, cameras, and monitors.
• Coordinate rehearsals, lineups, and live studio communication.
• Provide timing cues and on-air direction to talent.
• Maintain studio organization, etiquette, and presentation.
• Troubleshoot studio issues to ensure smooth live operations.
