Job summary

Fox News Media in Washington, DC is seeking a Freelance Audio Operator to provide technical support for our studio and control room teams. You will run an audio console for live and recorded programming, maintain studio audio equipment, and coordinate with A2 and Stage Manager to prepare mic and IFB setups before daily productions.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, proficiency with Calrec Sigma, Artemis, and SSL System T, and the ability to work flexible hours

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced television studio environment.
• Proficiency with Calrec Sigma, Artemis, and SSL System T consoles.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate audio board for live newscasts and productions.
• Maintain studio audio equipment.
• Manage audio for live and taped broadcasts, including mic sources and IFBs.
• Collaborate with technical staff to meet production needs for live and pre-recorded programming.
• Perform facility checks with A2 and Stage Manager for all mic and IFB positions in the studio before daily production begins, including studio setup.
• Other duties as assigned.
