Job summary
LiveNOW from FOX, FOX Television Stations' national live streaming news channel, is seeking a Digital Journalist based in FOX 35 Orlando for an overnight shift. You will curate, produce and host live coverage of breaking news across digital, social, streaming and broadcast platforms nationwide.
You must have 3+ years of live reporting experience, a BA/BS in journalism or related field, and strong editorial judgment. Familiarity with TriCaster and digital video workflows is a plus.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience reporting and hosting live news coverage.
- BA/BS degree preferably in Journalism, Communications or related field.
- Strong knowledge of current events and how viewers consume news.
- Excellent live communicator able to host extended coverage.
- Proven ability to guide viewers through live breaking news and major events.
- Strong research skills and editorial judgment in fast-paced breaking news.
Responsibilities
- Gather, produce, and present original content live for breaking news on digital, social, streaming and broadcast platforms.
- Simultaneously manage content and live video production, including video switching and graphics.
- Monitor live video feeds and newsroom tools for the latest information.
- Coordinate with FOX O&O stations and partners to receive video and information.
- Stay up-to-date on news and current events.
- Pitch story ideas and contribute to editorial planning while upholding standards.
- Monitor analytics and support other Digital Journalists in producing content.
- Perform other duties as needed.
