Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks a married couple to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples live in on-campus student homes, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8-13 students.

Initial duties cover multiple homes, with a path to a placed houseparent role. The position requires a two-person, married couple with at least two years of experience, a 27+ age for both spouses, and a commitment to a smoke-/weapon-free campus.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth
• Two-person couple married for at least two years
• Both spouses age 27 or older
• No more than three dependent children in home
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
• Valid U.S. driver\'s license; able to become certified to drive student vans
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
