Job summary

Brandeis University seeks Community Educators to support students and programming at the B2L December Retreat. You will supervise teens at the hotel, on the program bus, and on campus, ensuring safety and handling issues after evening programming.

Responsibilities include co-facilitating seven活動 sessions totaling 30 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes each, and providing logistical support to directors, instructors and guest speakers, while serving as a positive Jewish role model.

Qualifications

• Currently an undergraduate, recent college graduate or graduate student.
• Experience as a camp counselor, youth worker or religious school teacher.
• Experience working with and supervising teens.
• Creative, flexible and enthusiastic.

Responsibilities

• Attend the December 20-23 Retreat and stay in the hotel with students.
• Supervise B2L students at the hotel, on the program bus and on campus during all activities, including in the evening after programming has ended (i.e., make sure students are in their rooms, at breakfast and on the bus in the morning; handle any student concerns or disciplinary issues; address minor medical issues—with support from the Residential Coordinator).
• In collaboration with other Community Educators, run 7 programs connected to the program theme (timing ranges from 30 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes).
• Provide administrative support to B2L Directors, Instructors and Guest Speakers as requested (i.e., get supplies and materials, make copies, set up and break down program spaces, including meals).
• Act as a positive Jewish role model for B2L participants.
