Job summary

The University of La Verne is seeking a Summer Staff student assistant for Housing & Residential Life. The role is on-campus, part-time (20 hours/week) with duties including customer service, policy familiarity, and on-duty coverage for residence halls.

As a live-in staff member reporting to the Assignments Coordinator and Customer Service Coordinator, you will support front-line housing operations and contribute to a professional, mature environment.

Qualifications

• Be able to work 20 hours/week.
• Maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
• Must be a current University of La Verne student.
• Be in good financial standing with the University of La Verne and Housing & Residential Life.
• Be in good judicial standing with the University of La Verne and Housing & Residential Life.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer service in person and over the phone.
• Be familiar with policies and procedures in the Resident Handbook and department website.
• Attend all staff meetings and scheduled in-service training sessions.
• Serve “On-Duty” weeknights and weekends as assigned to perform walk-throughs of the residence halls.
• Perform lockout procedures.
• Perform special tasks from the Customer Service Coordinator and Director of Residence Life and Student Conduct
