This live-in housing professional oversees day-to-day operations of a residential community, mentoring staff, handling student conduct, crisis management, and developing educational and personal growth programs. The role requires a Bachelor's degree plus relevant experience, unencumbered driver's license, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and one year of professional work experience in a college setting or counseling/social services.
• Knowledge of higher education, learning and human development theory, and college student development.
• Commitment to community, social justice, pluralism, social equity, and the liberal Catholic university context.
• Must possess an unencumbered driver's license and the ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, supervise and evaluate 8-12 Resident Assistants and 8-10 Office Assistants
• Coordinate administrative functions of a residence hall or apartment complex, including: office operations, facility management, room assignments, student employment, and budgetary oversight
• Provide leadership to promote academic achievement and responsible decision-making
• Coordinate community and student development through service learning initiatives, social and educational programming
• Provide advice and counsel for individual students, student leaders, and student groups
• Participate in an on-call duty rotation for student crises and follow-up
• Respond to requests and inquiries from university personnel, students, and parents
• Other duties as assigned
