Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, invites married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents, residing on campus and caring for a group of 8–13 students. The nine-on/three-off schedule transitions to a placed houseparent role, with duties including supervision, mentoring, scheduling, and coordinating activities and devotions.

Salary is $46,917 per person (about $180,000 per couple with housing and meals).

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-year married couple minimum.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pets limited to fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Ability to lead daily devotions and accompany Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.

Responsabilités

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
