Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents, living in on-campus student homes and guiding a group of 8–13 students. You will supervise daily routines, mentor students, oversee activities, meals, and wellness, and support spiritual development.

The role starts with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and transitions to a placed houseparent model with the same student group.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-spouse role; married for at least two years.
• Both spouses age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Campus is smoke-free and weapon-free; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds only.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Ability to lead devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and participate in developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
