Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples live in on-campus student homes and supervise a group of about 8–13 students, providing guidance, routine management and mentorship.

Duties include administering medications, transporting students to activities, leading devotions and chapel, and helping with budgeting and reporting. After training, you may transition to a placed houseparent in the same home.

Qualifications

• This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
• Transitioning from Flex to Placed Houseparent in a student home
