Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks dedicated Flex Houseparents to provide daily supervision and mentorship for students in a two-person, married couple team. You will manage household routines, transport students to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and participate in budgeting and reporting.

During the first phase, couples work nine days on and three off, then transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group.

Qualifications

Two-person couple role, legally married for at least two years.
Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
Managing household routines and student schedules.
Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel.
Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
Roles evolve from Flex Houseparent to Placed Houseparent living with the same group.
