Job summary

Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch is seeking House Parents to provide direct care and create a home-like environment for up to eight children on our main campus in Boys Ranch, Texas. You will live in a cottage, lead daily routines, and support residents with guidance and activities.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent; childcare experience is preferred. Candidates must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be available for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in childcare or related field is preferred.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Live in your assigned cottage, caring for up to eight children.
• Teach and lead cottage rules and daily routines.
• Provide encouragement, guidance, and counseling to residents.
• Participate in educational and recreational activities with the youth.
• Ensure children's physical needs (food, shelter) are met.
• Help children build self-esteem and skills to cope with challenges.
• Act as a positive role model with appropriate behaviors and attitudes.
