LOCATED ON THE NORTH FORK OF LONG ISLAND IN SOUTHOLD, NY.

Responsibilities

1. Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents by attending to their basic needs such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
2. Help clients take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation.
3. Assist with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).
4. Help with personal care and hygiene, plan and prepare meals, and assist with physical therapy exercises.
5. Complete client shopping or accompany them to do so successfully.
6. Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents.
7. Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
8. Offer activities essential for daily living, including assisting patients with meals and serving if necessary.

Qualifications

1. Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and learn new skills.
2. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with the physical capability to perform job duties.
3. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation daily.
4. Ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
5. Available to work different shifts, including nights and weekends.
6. Minimum of 1 year experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment.
7. Willing to enforce health and safety standards.
8. Supportive and compassionate attitude.
9. High School Diploma or equivalent, or experience as a Caregiver, PCA, HHA, or completion of a CNA Program.
10. Supportive of providing high-quality care.
11. Hoyer Lift experience (specific to client).
