Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes and supporting 8-13 students. The role involves supervision, scheduling, medication administration, and guiding students' academic and social growth.

Initially, couples work a nine-on / three-off cycle, with progression to a placed houseparent role. Benefits include salary $46,917 per person (about $180,000 per couple), comprehensive health and retirement

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel.
