Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is hiring married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents. You will reside in on-campus student homes, caring for a group of approximately 8–13 students, providing guidance, supervision, and support to help them reach their full potential.

Initially, couples follow a nine consecutive days on duty, then three days off schedule. Later, you’ll transition into a Placed Houseparent role, living and working with the same students in their home, including budgeting

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses 27 years or older.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to drive student vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
• Initially support various student homes with a 9-on / 3-off schedule; later transition to a placed houseparent role.
