Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, and supervision for about 8–13 students, helping their academic, emotional, and social development.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, scheduling, devotions, and driving students to activities; the role transitions to a placed houseparent over time.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for a legally married couple for at least two years.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and actively engage in development and recreation.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
• Initially support multiple student homes with a nine days on / three days off schedule.
• Eventually transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students.
