Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, supervision, and support for a group of 8-13 students, with nine days on duties followed by three days off.

Flex Houseparents transition to Placed Houseparent roles, with responsibilities including budgeting, scheduling, devotions, and driving to activities.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-spouse role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free campus; no weapons on campus.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
