Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking married couples to serve as full-time Flex Houseparents. The role requires living on-campus, supervising and guiding groups of 8-13 students in a family-like setting, with a nine-on/three-off schedule initially.

The positions involve mentorship, activity planning, devotions, chapel, and budget/household oversight. Two-person couples must be married at least two years and both spouses be 27 or older.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
