Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents to live in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, and supervision for 8–13 students. This role requires two spouses who are married for at least two years and aged 27 or older.

The position offers a structured, family-like environment with nine days on duty followed by three days off, and a pathway to a Placed Houseparent role after initial placement.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth in a caregiving, educational, or residential setting.
• Ability to supervise and mentor a group of students in a home environment.
• Willingness to manage daily routines, budgeting, and reporting duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to a group of 8–13 students in the home.
• Manage household routines, schedules, and student activities.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness as needed.
• Transport students to activities and plan developmental and recreational engagements.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel services.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting processes.
