Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is seeking dedicated Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes to provide care, supervision, and guidance for 8–13 students, fostering their academic, emotional, and social growth.

The role starts with a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle and can transition to a placed houseparent in a single home. Competitive compensation includes housing, meals, health benefits, retirement options, relocation assistance, and paid training.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
• Duties require lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
