Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks Full-time Flex Houseparents. The two-person couple lives in on-campus student homes, supervising a group of 8–13 students to foster academic, emotional, and social growth.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, routines, activities, devotions, and coordinating budgets. The role begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule, with progression to a placed houseparent living with the same student group.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and attending Sunday Chapel services.
• Two-year married couple minimum living requirement.
• Non-smoker and no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and potential to get certified to drive student vans.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
