Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples for Full-time Flex Houseparents to live on-campus and guide 8–13 students in a family-style home. You will supervise daily life, activities, devotions, and transportation while ensuring student well-being.

The role requires a two-person married couple, ages 27+, with a high school diploma or GED and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comprehensive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Experience with youth development or mentorship.
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol during duty.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental/recreational events.
• Lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
• Initially support multiple student homes on a staggered nine-on/three-off schedule; transition to a placed houseparent role.
