Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this on-campus, two-person role, you live in student homes and provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students to support academic, emotional, and social development.

The nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule leads to a placed houseparent role over time. Benefits include housing, meals on duty, health insurance, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Two-person couple must be married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.
• Pet restrictions: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
