Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. The role involves living in on-campus student homes and providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8-13 students to foster their academic, emotional, and social development.

The schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with a path to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group. Comprehensive benefits and relocation support are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role; married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; ability to be certified to drive student vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting

Skills

Experience with youth
