Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is seeking married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this role, couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervising and supporting a group of 8–13 students to promote academic, emotional, and social growth.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, scheduling, activities, devotions, and budgeting. The nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off policy is central to the schedule. Training and relocation support are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth, including mentoring or caregiving.
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in development and recreation.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
