Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents in on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA. Couples will provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for about 8–13 students and transition to a Placed Houseparent role over time.

The role includes daily supervision, driving, devotions, budgeting, and coordinating activities. Employment includes housing, meals on duty, and comprehensive benefits; two-spouse eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
• Adapt as needed while transitioning to the Placed Houseparent role.
