Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA seeks married couples for Full-time Flex Houseparents on campus. Couples reside in on-site student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for about 8–13 students.

The role starts with nine consecutive days on duty, then three days off, and can transition to a placed houseparent role with the same student home. Benefits include a salary of $46,917 per person (roughly $180,000 per couple), comprehensive health/dental/vision insurance,

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
