Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. The role places you in on-campus homes, supervising and guiding 8–13 students to support academic, emotional, and social growth in a structured, family-like setting.

As a two-person team, you will manage daily routines, lead devotions, transport and supervise activities, and transition to a placed houseparent after initial placement.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
• Supporting multiple student homes initially, then transitioning to a placed houseparent role
