Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is hiring married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide daily supervision, mentorship, and support for 8–13 students. The role follows a nine-on / three-off schedule, with progression to a placed houseparent.

Benefits include salary per person of $46,917, plus comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage, retirement options, relocation assistance, and paid training.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role for married spouses for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be 27 years or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the student home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limits: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Ability to lead daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
