Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA, is seeking Full-time Flex Houseparents: a married couple living on campus to mentor 8–13 students, manage daily routines, and provide care. The role includes devotions, Chapel participation, budgeting, and family-like supervision.

Applicants must be a legally married couple for at least two years, both 27+, and able to lift 50 lbs. On-duty schedule includes nine days on, three off, with transition to a placed home later.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models.
• This is a two-person role for couples; applications submitted together.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities, and planning and engaging in development and recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting

Skills
