Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks Flex Houseparents for a unique two-person family role living in on-campus homes. Couples provide care, supervision, and support for 8-13 students, fostering academic, emotional, and social growth in a structured, family-like setting.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, routines, transportation, devotions, and budgeting. Requirements: two-year married, 27+, high school diploma or GED, clean driving record, and ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited).
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
