Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision and support for 8–13 students.

The role starts with a nine-day on/three-day off cycle and may transition to a placed houseparent living arrangement with the same group of students. Responsibilities include supervision, scheduling, devotions, transportation, and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth or volunteers in youth settings.
• Two-person married couple role; both spouses must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students in on-campus homes.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and participate in development and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
• Begin on a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule, then transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same group.
