Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8-13 students.

Positions follow a 9 consecutive days on duty, then 3 days off. Benefits include housing, meals, and extensive coverage; train on relocation, and PTO are provided. Applicants must meet all listed qualifications and complete separate applications.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role with at least two years of marriage.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the student home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff are role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
