Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is hiring full-time Flex Houseparents—a two-person live-in role for married couples. You will supervise and mentor 8–13 students, manage daily routines, transport to activities, lead daily devotions, and assist with budgeting and reporting.

BOTH spouses must be 27+ and legally married for at least two years; you must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. The position offers housing, meals, comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, and paid training.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver's license; ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship for a group of students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational events.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
