Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is hiring Full-time Flex Houseparents: couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision for a group of approximately 8–13 students living in the home. This is a unique life-changing career on campus.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines, medications, driving to activities, leading devotions and Sunday Chapel, plus budgeting and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.
• Fish and one dog allowed; pet limitations.
• Valid U.S. driver\'s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental/recreational events.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
