Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA invites married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents, living in on-campus student homes and caring for a group of 8–13 residents. You will supervise daily routines, mentor students, and foster a structured, family-like environment that supports academic and personal growth.

The role includes budgeting oversight, planning activities, guiding devotions and chapel visits, and transitioning to a placed houseparent with continued mentoring.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.

Skills
