Visiting Angels of Abilene is seeking a Live-In Certified Nurse Aide to support senior clients across the Big Country area, including Albany, Breckenridge, Stamford, Throckmorton.

This role offers flexible shifts, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to help clients stay at home with dignity while providing personal care, mobility assistance, and companionship.

Ideal candidates have strong time-management, reliable transport, and a heart for vulnerable people.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Reliable transportation to client visits.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen; training in First Aid and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients handle personal care and hygiene
• Managing light housekeeping
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals
• Prompting clients to take their prescription medications at the right times
• Helping clients with shopping and putting away groceries (or shopping for them)
• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients (based on client ability)
• Assisting clients with mobility and ambulation—getting around the house, visiting the doctor, and taking walks
