Job summary
ComForCare Home Care in Tenafly, NJ is seeking certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) for a private-duty live-in assignment to care for an elderly female client. The role focuses on personal care, mobility support, and companionship in the comfort of her home.
Ideal candidates hold an active NJ CHHA certification, have experience with dementia and mobility assistance, and can safely follow a care plan. Duties include transfers with a gait belt, light housekeeping, meal prep, and pet care; scrubs
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey CHHA certification.
- Experience with personal care and mobility assistance.
- Dependable, compassionate, and professional.
- Comfortable wearing scrubs while on duty.
- Ability to safely perform required duties in accordance with the client's care plan.
Responsibilities
- Experienced with dementia and mobility assistance
- Comfortable assisting with transfers
- Comfortable with dogs
- Personal care, hygiene, and incontinence assistance
- Mobility and transfer assistance using a gait belt
- Companionship and engaging activities
- Wheelchair assistance and outdoor walks
- Assistance with light exercises
- Meal preparation, laundry, and light housekeeping
- Occasional pet care (dog)
