Job description

Always Best Care is looking for dedicated CNAs willing to assist our clients who require the added security of a live-in caregiver. We offer a variety of assignments, including short-term temporary roles and regular schedules of 2, 3, 4, or 5 days per week.

Caregivers may be required to drive clients to appointments; a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are advantageous but not always necessary.

Live-in care is a specialized service for clients who need full-time assistance and the security of a caregiver living on-site. It fosters strong relationships between caregivers and clients, which can be very rewarding. However, maintaining professionalism and focusing on the specific job responsibilities are essential.

What Exactly is Live-In Care?

"Live-in care" involves a caregiver staying with the client in their home for 24 hours. During this period, caregivers are expected to get 8 hours of sleep, along with meal and other breaks, including at least 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep per night. Adequate sleeping arrangements and privacy are necessary; a spare bedroom is ideal but not mandatory. Caregivers are hired on a per diem basis and paid a daily rate.

We offer competitive compensation for live-in care and support our caregivers with regular check-in visits to ensure well-being. Temporary assignments typically do not exceed two weeks, and we usually assign two caregivers per client to provide time off for each.

While CNAs are strongly preferred, experienced live-in caregivers with demonstrated clinical skills are also encouraged to apply.
