Job summary

ComForCare Home Care – Danbury is seeking compassionate Live-In Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide one-on-one, in-home, non-medical support for clients. No caregiving experience?

No problem—we provide training and ongoing support to help you succeed. You'll live in the client's home during shifts, delivering bathing assistance, mobility support, meal prep, companionship, and transportation coordination while maintaining a reliable, professional presence in the community.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and personal hygiene.
• Support mobility, transfers and ambulation as needed.

• Provide medication reminders and light housekeeping.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Accompany clients to appointments or community activities.
• Monitor changes in health and communicate with the care team.
• Follow care plans and report any variances promptly.

Job Summary. What You'll Do: As a Live-In Personal Care Assistant, you'll provide compassionate, non-medical support that helps clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene


• Helping with mobility, transfers, and ambulation


• Assisting with daily living activities, including meal preparation, shopping/errands, and light housekeeping.


• Medication reminders


• Light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean living environment


• Providing companionship and emotional support


• Accompanying clients to appointments or errands when appropriate


• Monitoring changes in a client's condition and communicating with the care team


• Follow individualized care plans to ensure each client's specific needs are met, and report changes in health status.

Requirements

• No experience required


• Previous experience in home health care or a related field preferred.


• Reliable transportation for client visits.


• Compassionate, patient, and dependable


• Willingness to live in the client's home during scheduled shifts


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Reliable transportation to and from assignments


• Candidates may be required to complete a background check as a condition of employment, consistent with Connecticut state regulations and applicable federal law.


• Legally authorized to work in the United States


• Must be reliable with a strong commitment to punctuality and professionalism.


• Able to lift up to 25–50 lbs and assist with physical transfers.
