Job summary

Dovida – Jacksonville seeks a caring, reliable Live-In Caregiver to support a client with daily living needs in the comfort of their home. The role emphasizes building meaningful connections and person-centered care.

You will provide daily assistance and companionship, follow an individualized care plan, and manage a 4-days-on, 3-days-off live-in schedule with daytime caregiving and overnight presence, plus private bedroom accommodations within the client’s home.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Caregiver, CNA, or HHA training or certification is a plus.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation are preferred or may be required.
• Ability to pass background checks, work authorization verification, and required health screenings.
• Ability to assist with mobility and personal care tasks using safe practices.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred.
• Knowledge of personal care, safe transfers, and basic caregiving practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Support mobility and activities of daily living.
• Prepare nutritious meals and encourage proper hydration.
• Help with light housekeeping and laundry related to client care.
• Provide companionship and participate in meaningful daily activities.
• Offer medication reminders as directed.
• Follow the client’s care plan and report changes in condition or needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
• Communicate relevant updates and concerns to the care team and family members as appropriate.
