Job summary

Qualicare Home Care Central NJ is seeking a live-in caregiver to provide compassionate support to clients in the comfort of their own homes, delivering personal care, mobility assistance, and health monitoring.

You will work with families and health professionals to coordinate daily routines, prepare meals, and maintain a safe, respectful environment while documenting care and undergoing required trainings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; caregiving certifications preferred.
• Prior experience in home care or a similar caregiving role.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor with clients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and training as required.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including live-in shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assist with daily living activities and mobility support.
• Administer medications and monitor health as needed.
• Prepare meals and assist with nutritional needs.
• Engage clients in social and recreational activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
• Document care provided and report any changes in client condition.
• Communicate effectively with families and healthcare professionals.
